The new technology at the core of the MROpen is based on a leading-edge superconducting material MgB2 (Magnesium Diboride), which allows for low cost, cryogenic-free operation, and low power consumption. There’s no need for helium and it’s associated risks and costs. There’s no cryogenic lines, no compliance with pressure vessel regulations, and no quench risks. It’s as easy to use as a permanent magnet! And that means your staff can virtually turn the system on or off as needed. The MROpen’s 0.5T transverse magnetic field makes it possible to use phased array multichannel coils–combining flat with solenoid type coils—to maximize the signal-to-noise ratio in all anatomical areas.
